Abstract:

Electric springs (ES) are often known to be demand-side power management systems in decentralized grids with renewable energy sources, which, due to their nature, inject unreliable electricity power into the system. The second type of electrical spring (ES_2) produces an intelligent Load by placing it next to a Sensitive Load, which, in addition to regulating the voltage level, will optimize various parameters of the power quality for the Sensitive Load. In imbalance grids with harmonic voltages and local non-linear Load, where conventional controllers are used, the intelligent Load cannot improve the power quality for a Sensitive Load. In this paper, a proportional resonance (PR) controller is used to regulate both the voltage level and the source voltage imbalances due to the least tracking error in the sinusoidal mode as well as a repetitive controller (RC) is designed to reduce THD and improve the power factor thanks to its infinite poles on the imaginary axis. Finally, these two suggested controllers were tested simultaneously in three-phase and single-phase grids by mathematical and machine simulation. The grid considered in this paper has harmonics up to order 17 and voltage fluctuations in the range of 0. 954 to 1. 1 per unit, as well as a local non-linear Load with 100% of the Sensitive Load size and, in the three-phase mode, the grid, has unbalanced three-phase Load. The results of the MATLAB simulation for electrical spring, controlled by the PR RC controller, which is a combination of two proportional resonance controllers and a repetitive controller in both three and single-phase mode Note that the Sensitive Load voltage is completely adjusted to its reference value, THD reduces by 80. 31% compared to the uncompensated condition and will be less than the value defined by the IEEE standard and the power factor rises up to near the unit.

Abstract:

One of the obvious reasons for most disorders in network service provisioning is network path congestion. Congestion avoidance in today's networks is too costly and sometimes impossible. With the introduction of SDN, centralizing the equipment's control plane has become possible. This paper presents an enhanced method named ESV-DBRA to avoid congestion in multi-tenant SDN networks. At first, ESV-DBRA monitors the traffic Load and delay of all network paths for each tenant individually. Then, by merging the parameters obtained from the monitoring, the Service Level Agreements (SLA), and a novel proposed cost function, it calculates the cost of the network paths per tenant. As a result, traffic for each tenant is routed through the path/paths at the lowest possible cost from the tenant's perspective. Next, the bandwidth quotas will be calculated and assigned to the tenants over their optimal routes. Afterward, whenever congestion is likely to occur in a path, ESV-DBRA automatically changes the route or bandwidth of the tenants' traffic related to this path to avoid congestion. Related algorithms are also proposed.Eventually, simulations show that the proposed method effectively increases bandwidth utilization by 10.76%.

Background and aim: Results of Implant therapy have always been evaluated on the basis of radiographic and clinical assessments such as percussion, focused only on determination of peri-implant bone resorption and implant failures. These measurements are qualitative only and could not be considered as quantitative and reliable scales for the evaluation of stability; So they could not be statistically analysed. These difficulties could be overcome by using Resonance Frequency Analysis (RFA).RFA could be considered as a proper comparable measurement in evaluation of implant stability. This study aimed to evaluate and determine the stability of over denture Loaded implants in a number of private clinics during 2006 -2007.Materials and Methods: This cross – sectional study was conducted on 13 patients provided with Swiss plus implant Therapy Loaded by over dentures for the first step, each patient was evaluated regarding Implant Quality health Scale and put into one of five groups. Abutments were then removed and fixtures were evaluated by Osstell Mentor Instrument following the attachment of Smart peg to fixtures, Implant Stability Qoutient was then determined. Sampling was done in a sequential approach and obtained data were statistically analyzed using X2 and t-test.Results: Fourty three implants were evaluated in 13 patients, 21 in maxilla and 22 in mandible the mean I.S.Q.Equaled 70.36 ± 4.43 in maxilla and 79.1 ± 3.51 in mandible. The total mean ISQ (bimaxillary mean ISQ) equaled 84.36 ± 5.94.Conclusion: Regarding the obtained results, Over denture Loaded implants are absolutely successful treatment plans in mandible, according to their higher ISQ compared to maxilla. It is also demonstrated that stability of implants at each step of treatment Procedure is influenced by primary stability during placement more than any other factors. Primary stability itself is mainly influenced by surgeon`s experience in the proper following of surgical protocol.

Objectives: Familial Adenomatous Polyposis (FAP) is an autosomal dominant predisposition to colon cancer. This hereditary genetic disease is characterized by more than 100 adenomatous polyps in colon and rectum.Additional features may include desmoids tumors, polyps in the upper gastrointestinal tract, osteomas and Congenital Hypertrophy of the Retinal Pigment Epithelium (CHRPE). A mutation in APC (Adenomatous Polyposis Coli) is found in the majority of cases. Mutation detection and genetic analysis of APC in this syndrome is highly recommended as the penetrance is almost 100% by 40 years of age. The APC gene expanding on 5q21- q22 has 15exons and has an ORF with 8538 nucleotides which codes a protein with 2843 amino acids.Materials and Methods: 5 families among 150 families were selected according to accepted diagnosis criteria of FAP. CSGE (Conformation Sensitive Gel Electrophoresis) technique for the first time was set up to screen mutations in all 15 exons of APC gene by this technique. Direct sequencing was used as gold standard to confirm CSGE results. Results: CSGE analysis showed electrophoresis migration anomalies and heteroduplex formation in exon 15 of APC in all patients. Further analysis by direct sequencing characterized these heteroduplexes as deleterious mutations. These mutations can be classified as non sense, frame shift and deletion. Conclusion: For the first time, CSGE technique was set up for mutation screening of coding and some parts of non coding regions of APC. In comparison with other screening methods, this technique has many advantages so it can be used in routine clinical laboratories. As mutation detection in APC is laborious, needs high tech technology and is expensive, finding Sensitive and cost effective mutation screening technique would have direct positive effect on clinical management of families with familial susceptibility to colon cancer.

Abstract:

In this paper, three solutions for scheduling problem of the Single-Load and Multi-Load Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) in Container Terminals are proposed. The problem is formulated as Constraint Satisfaction and Optimization. When capacity of the vehicles is one container, the problem is a minimum cost flow model. This model is solved by the highest performance Algorithm, i.e. Network Simplex Algorithm (NSA). If the capacity of the AGVs increases, the problem is a NP-hard problem. This problem has a huge search space and is tackled by the Simulated Annealing Method (SAM). Three approaches for its initial solution and a neighborhood function to the search method are implemented. The third solution is a hybrid of SAM and NSA. This hybrid is applied to the Heterogeneous AGVs scheduling problem in container terminals. Several the same random problems are generated, solved by SAM with the proposed approaches and the simulation results are compared. The experimental results show that NSA provides a good initial solution for SAM when the capacity of AGVs is heterogeneous.
